I dreamed I was fishing with a friend.

At some point, I went into the water myself, swimming through it and catching fish with my bare hands. It felt strange, but not frightening. Instinctive. Like my body knew the old rule of water: reach, close, bring up what is hidden.

When I came back to shore, my friend was on fire.

Immolation.

I remember trying to write everything down as fast as I could, as if the notes could preserve the truth before the dream-world started rearranging furniture. Then I ran.

Later, I was arrested and blamed for the crime. They read my notes like they were evidence. Like grief, written down, was a confession. Like witnessing horror made me dangerous by proximity.

I clasped my hands around my own throat to keep the sobs in.

Eventually, they decided I was not guilty. But that did not mean I was free. It meant I was unwell. Unstable. Someone who had seen too much and therefore could not be trusted to walk around with everyone else.

That was the hook in the dream: not just being accused of something I did not do, but being treated like the act of seeing made me suspect.

My witnessing is not guilt. My grief is not proof. My notes are not a weapon unless someone else needs them to be.

Question: What did that dream mean?

Tarot: Queen of Cups reversed, Page of Wands, Page of Pentacles reversed

Spindlewheel: Heatwave, Arbolists, The Sea

First impression: The dream came from deep emotional water. I was pulling meaning up by hand, but the feeling became too hot to hold. The fire was overwhelm. The arrest was the fear of being misread by authority, of having my grief and my notes treated as evidence against me.

Later reflection: Queen of Cups reversed and The Sea both point to emotional overflow, intuition, and porous boundaries. Page of Wands is the part of me that still wants to follow the spark and understand what I saw. Page of Pentacles reversed is the need for grounding, structure, and a safe container. Heatwave is intensity. Arbolists are the fear of being pruned, judged, or controlled by people who think they know what parts of me are dangerous. The message is not that I should stop seeing. The message is that I need to return to shore with care.

My witnessing is not guilt. My grief is not proof. My record is mine.
