Spell / Working

Purpose: An emergency grounding movement spell for coming back into the body.

“I root, I stabilize, I remain.”

Best for: dissociation, panic, feeling unmoored, or grounding before larger spellwork

Timing: anytime you need fast grounding

Difficulty: easy

Mess level: none

Materials

  • Your body
  • A safe place to stand or sit
  • Optional: a grounding object or stone
Move within your limits. If stomping hurts your joints, tap your foot firmly instead. If you are sitting, press your palms to your thighs or chair rather than reaching for the ground.

Method

  1. Stomp your dominant foot twice, firmly and intentionally.
  2. Press both palms flat against your thighs, the floor, or another stable surface.
  3. Hold for five slow breaths.
  4. Imagine roots growing down from your body into the earth or the floor beneath you.
  5. Say the words once, then name three physical things you can feel.

Words

Radico, stabilizo, maneo.

I root, I stabilize, I remain.

What this does: Uses weight, pressure, breath, and repetition to remind the body that it is here and held.
