Spell / Working
Purpose: A candle-and-thread working for pulling your energy back from a draining connection.
“What is mine returns to me. What is not mine loses its hold.”
Best for: symbolically draining attention away from an unwanted tie and back into yourself
Timing: waning moon or when you need to reclaim energy
Difficulty: medium
Mess level: medium
Materials
- One black candle to represent the draining tie or target
- One blue candle to represent yourself
- Olive oil or candle-safe dressing oil
- Black pepper or red pepper for the black candle
- Gentle herbs for your candle, such as lavender or rosemary
- Thread or string
- Fireproof candle holders
Use fire-safe candle holders and never leave candles unattended. Keep baneful herbs, oils, smoke, and string away from pets.
Method
- Place the black candle on one side and the blue candle on the other.
- Dress the black candle with banishing herbs. Dress your candle with gentle herbs.
- Tie a string between the candles, higher on the black candle’s side so the working visually moves downward and away.
- Light the black candle first, then your candle.
- As they burn, visualize your attention and energy draining away from the tie and returning to your own body.
- Close by cutting or removing the thread once the working feels complete.
Words
Meum ad me redit. Alienum recedit.
What is mine returns to me. What is foreign withdraws.
What this does: A symbolic reclamation working for energetic boundaries, not literal control over another person.
